I started making a lot of electronic compositions in the year 2000 under the name BlueNile101. During that time it was simply just a hobby. It was something I did to pass the time away. I enjoyed making tracks that were upbeat and fun. But as my life started to change, so did my taste in music. In 2005 I purchased my first guitar. A Taylor acoustic guitar. Of all the guitars I have played around with and tested, the Taylor name was the one that had a sound and feel that molded with my inner being. As I taught myself to play I started to explore the musical possibilities I could express with an acoustic guitar. It was very different compared to making dance beats. I had no idea that I was entering a whole new world. Music would be the door. A door to a world that would change my life forever.

In late 2008 my life was heading in an unknown direction. The world around me was changing and I was unaware that my whole existence was about to change along with it. I started to take music on a deeper and more personal level to help me cope with this ever changing reality. It is here where I put fear aside and stepped outside of my comfort zone and started to write songs that reflected my reality. In early 2009, with the help and guidance of my friends, I recorded my first song entitled "A Place For You and Me". It is here for the first time where I took lyrics and music and put them together. It is here where I sing for the first time. It is here where my perception of realilty changed and I felt awakened for the first time. I wrote what I felt. Wrote what I saw. The music has helped me express these feelings I had and has helped me analyze my journey. Where I've been and the possiblities of where I am going. I saw things in a whole new light. All through music.

That is where the name Eye Awakening was created.
