Pure Shift is the solo project of William Chrapcynski. William has been a musician most of his life, but has always desired to have something to call his own. Pure Shift was created for such a purpose.
It's really hard to put Pure Shift in one genre of music since William is inspired by so many different types of music. You'll find anything from ambient electronic music to straight out rock.

Why this name?
It's a name that has been stuck in my head for years, and I decided to go with it. There's no huge story behind it really.
Do you play live?
Currently this is only a studio project.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's a great tool for newer bands to get heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign a major label deal if the contract was worth it, but I think I'd rather stay independent.
Band History:
William has been in music since he was 8 and plays a wide variety of instruments. He has a love for the strange and unusual, so you will not be finding him being a cookie cutter artist.
Your influences?
Rush, Queen, David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Tangerine Dream and Stone Temple Pilots are some of my major influences.
Favorite spot?
I don't really have one I guess.
