I am a singer/songwriter. I have been singing and playing the guitar as long as I can remember. I write about love, life and anything else thats sent my way. If even for a moment, I can make you laugh, cry, reflect, remember or just forget the troubles of your day, then I have succeeded as a songwriter.
Why this name?
I understand it was a tough decision; my parents chose it long ago.
Do you play live?
I spend my time at open mics, coffee houses, local bars, folk festivals.... anywhere there are people to listen. The most special moment was the first time someone requested one of MY songs! "WOW! It Stuck!"
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It sure helps the "small folk" get their music out to a huge audience. Unfortunately... I still need my son to walk me through each step of the process... but, I'm getting better every day.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely!
Your influences?
As a teen, I was an avid Janis Ian fan. I also listened to a lot of Joni Mitchell. I grew to love all styles of music and find I incoporate many different styles into my own music. To my surprise, many folks have compared my style to that of Joan Beaz... Now.. THATS quite a compliment.
Favorite spot?
I love to be by the ocean.
