The re-emergence of the male singer-songwriter is upon us. Christian Anthony is like a sponge who absorbs all forms of music. He writes from the heart with intelligent and witty lyrics. His songs can rock, jam, float or swim depending on which track you select. Although each song can stand on its own, this is an album and was conceived and recorded as such. Christian believes that the songs as individuals should tell one story and the album as a whole should tell another.

His own story is one of an art school graduate who moved to Los Angeles in 1995 and began playing the local scene, formed his band The Between in 1997, recorded the EP “torn” in 1998. Now, after years of proving himself and his band on the road, comes a stunning debut cd “Naked and Alive.” The album features 14 songs and as Christian puts it - “the closing of chapter one.” The first single "Rain" can currently be heard on CMJ stations throughout the U.S.

Many compare his style of guitar playing to Dave Matthews, Ani DiFranco, or Michael Hedges (and christian thanks all who do) but it is unique and rhythmic in its own way. From the funk-oriented "Waste of Time" to bluesy sax-flavored gospel sounds of "Long Train Home" Christian rocks us like a roller-coaster and calms us like a cool breeze. "Naked and Alive" will be required listening one day, and you should be one of the first to say so. Christian is currently touring the USA and Europe solo-acoustic to promote “Naked and Alive” and can be found anywhere Guinness is poured.
