Why this name?
"Belenguer" is my real family name (on my father's side). I admit I didn't think about "names" too much. It is not that I'm short on ideas (not at all) it is just that sticking to a put up name is kind of hard, it needs time to really get used to (unless one uses a name as a "mask" to develop some kind of artistic alter-ego which is a very interesting idea indeed). Besides this was a long term decision for my part, just because I did like it that way. You need a name you can live with after all, although I don't discard the idea of using "artistic names" in the future whatsoever.
Do you play live?
I used to play live with my previous band "The Raw Sickerts". Nowadays I'm kind of a recluse. As I see it now, this is the only way of doing something truly different and original. If I were living in some place "cooler" than this one I could probably find people with the same kinds of interest and the same will to compromise, so to speak.
We tend to think the grass is always greener anywhere else anyway, so I don't have many expectations on that. Will I play live again? time will tell.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's a way for some underground bands to get some ""exposure"" (if I may call it as such) but at the end of the day is the same old story: no money > no promotion, no contacts > no promotion, no this and that > no promotion.
Everything seems to be pretty well under control by the "big guys" in the shadows, although the truly innovating trends come from the people in the streets, from the underground, that's something they cannot control. It has always been this way (fortunately). On the other hand Myspace is a big fantasy world for fools anyway, I don't rely on that too much myself. Just no future there. No way to break through to the next level unless you sell your soul to the devil (whatever that means), especially in these days of commercial madness.
Besides the key to success is rather obvious: being in the right place at the right time and, why not, willing to provide sexual favours to the right targets if necessary (thinking about the most pretentious ones now). This is as old as the world is.
By the way, I'm not a cynic, I'm a guy with his feet well placed on the ground.
As for mp3 music. I think the vinyl format will finally survive the CD format, far fetched as this may sound, as downloading music will become the only convenient way of getting new music with reasonable quality. I think the future for music is on the internet, CD record shops will be a thing of the past sooner that we might expect, but who's got the final word on that? the industry? I hope not.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign a record deal with anyone as long as I had 100% control over my artistic output and they didn't rip me off with abusive contracts and crazy shit. These days you need to cover yourself pretty well in order not to get cheated.
Band History:
Still writing it...
Your influences?
Mostly old music (70's, 80's), underground and alternative bands as well. I don't know... I've my basic influences as anyone else (Agh! I'm NOT talking about The Beatles here!), say things like Bowie, Neil Young, The Doors, Joy Division, The Stooges, New Order and many others... Though I'm always open to discover new stuff and new kinds of music as long as it is something cool and honestly made. I have developed a taste for electronic music as well recently.
Favorite spot?
I've been recently in Munich. I really loved it there. Nice people, very friendly, a thing utterly rare to find these days in many other major cities, which brings me to the conclusion that bus drivers in Dublin really suck... what an awful lot they are.
I don't know, maybe they thought I was British when I addressed them.

Equipment used:
Talking about equipment bores me to death...
Anything else...?
I hope someday my music gets to the right ears, this day is still too far away in time I guess, maybe I'll be dead when this happens. Sometimes I think my days are numbered also, that, there is no much hope, I'm inclined to think that everything turns out to be quite ironic at the end. This remains me of a song called "Fruit Tree" by Nick Drake, it's got very beautiful lyrics this one, a very good old song indeed. I don't know... I guess I'll be around as long as I have something to say, even if it all finally disappears into the ether.
