Do you play live?
Yeah so far we've only played in Singapore, been having fun so far.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has definitely spread music more. People now have more varieties of music to listen to rather than the music on radio. However, the downside is when the listeners choose not to buy the artiste's music and download it for free instead.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, but only if it is worth it.
Band History:
The band started out as a casual thing formed by friends, back then we had a different line-up and played different kind of music, band names we have used were Underedge, Hollocauzt and not forgetting Enmity. On the band's first gig their line-up was Ifran-Vocals, Sofyan-Lead guitars, Hasanur-Rhythm Guitars, Ashaari-Bass and Syamil-Drums.
As time goes by the bassist and drummer were not committed so the band bade farewell to them, one of the reasons for parting with was was also because they seem to only like bands like Slipknot, Korn, Disturbed and SOAD. They were not willing to explore other kinds of music the band was aiming for.
The band has had a wonderful time with the old line-up but soon we had a new one, Ammar and Sukrino of the former band TwistedPaths( disbanded! ) decided to join the band with Ammar replacing Hasanur and Sukrino replacing Syamil, Hasanur replaced Ashaari and soon the band found a keyboardist; Shasha.
Ifran the vocalist soon decided to quit as he felt that he just lost interest, so the line-up was Sofyan-lead/rhythm guitar, Ammar-rhythm/guitar, Hasanur-Bass, Shasha-Keyboard and Sukrino on drums. Left without a vocalist the band still performed in a gig at Sentosa Sunset Bay(25 October 2003) with Ammar on vocals and rhythm and Sofyan on lead guitar, feedback was that we need to improve on vocals so we started a search. Soon Ifran came back to the band while shasha decided to quit. Deathsynth performed on the Unity Of Agression Gig on 5 June 2004 at the Substation. Deathsynth had Anil as the guest vocalist for Deathsynth because Ifran could not make it to the gig. And so another chapter unfolds, Sukrino, the drummer of the band was kicked out of the band. Replacing him would be Fayyadh.... Deathsynth will be hitting the studios for recording in mid December 2004 to provide a song or 2 for a compilation cd which will be contained along with Rudra's first 1000 CDs of their 4th album which is due at the end of January 05' .
