Teel Merrick is made up of Teel Merrick/ Vocals and Guitars, Eli Moore/Bass, Eric Simdorn/Drums, and Chase Reid/Electric guitar. These four guys have been drawn into music by the likes of the dave matthews band, coldplay, U2, Silverchair, phish, counting crows and the list goes on. We love to play music and we are devoted to it for life. We believe if we devote our music to God he will bless our efforts.

Why this name?

we changed our name back to Teel Merrick, there was to much confusion with the cd title.

Do you play live?

we love playing live, we are a jam band by definition. If you attended one of our shows you would hear songs that last up to 12 minutes long. We play at various restaurants and churches, we play pretty much wherever we can.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

WE love it, the internet is the fastest way to get our music out into the ears of needy listeners. Artists who oppose internet supplyed music should think twice, a good chunk of there fans and popularity came from people hearing their music over the internet.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Most definitly. And there are people out there who say that its selling out, but its just smart business. Signing with a label on a good contract gives the the ability to tap into funds that otherwise you would have no access to.

Band History:

our band has been playing together a total of about 3 months. We are devoted to making music and it shows. we have all sat down and disussed the events that led us to meet each other and the stories are incredible.

The Dave Matthews Band, coldplay, U2, Silverchair, phish, counting crows, John Mayer, Bob Dylan, CCR, Steve Miller Band, incubus, we incorperate alot of styles into our music.
