Hi, my name is Art K, and my real name is Arthur Karpowicz. I live and work in Chicago N-W suburbs in Des Plaines, Illinois, USA. I compose and perform all songs alone.
Why this name?
No special reason for choosing this name. Art - Arthur, and "K" is the first letter of my last name.
Do you play live?
Not right now, maybe in the future.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Internet is a great tool. It changed everything and everybody. I do not think that music industry is different.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I think yes, I would.
Band History:
Studying music, practicing, studying music, performing, practicing, studying music, performing, practicing, more practicing, getting keyboard and all necessary equipment, putting songs together and publishing for internet.
Your influences?
I listen to all kind of music: from classical through jazz to techno. You can always find something interesting.
Favorite spot?
There is many places I like: Vienna, Berlin, New Orleans, Chicago, New Orleans, LA, Philadelphia, Grodno, Szczecin, Malmo, Istambul. Each place has its own character.
