"OVERWORLD.It began at 40,000 feet.
who KNOWS where it'll end?
Digital in execution....but can GO LIVE at the drop of a hat.
Steeped in art, science and politics--OVERWORLD is the backstory behind the headlines...the soundtrack to what's on satellite...what's playing in the ready room at NORAD..what's on in that Maybach with the blacked-out windows...the echoing groove you can just hear coming from that yacht out there...and it's in heavy rotation on board that G5 that just flew overhead."

Why this name?
There's the UNDERWORLD--they're the ones who everyone blames for the problems..crime,drugs,etc..but the truth is...they ALL work for the OVERWORLD---those UNTOUCHABLE types who have diplomatic immunity--and friends in HIGH places.
Essentially? Those who REALLY run the world.
"These are the cuts they listen to--
Between Revolutions."

Do you play live?
In Sweden a year ago..but since my return to the States,i've been mostly writing and recording--stepping up the ante and beginning to build toward a release soon(VERY SOON!!)So far i've got around 50 songs or so written--recorded about 30..and i come up with new stuff practically EVERY DAY(don't SLEEP on this!)
Actually,i began playing music PERIOD about 2.5-3 years ago...I was in Zurich(Switzerland) and walked into a music store..I wanted something to keep me amused during an extended stay in Europe..and in the digital music department, I met this guy Beat(kinda like Mr.Destiny--that's his REAL name by the way)and i told him i wanted a portable playing-and-recording unit that would fit in a backpack. He showed me a Yamaha QY-100,with a very tiny outboard keyboard and tiny little outboard speakers--i played that thing till closing time--then bought it and haven't looked back since.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Hopefully,it'll open things up for people who don't happen to be ex-Mouseketeers..and those who aren't related to, or sleeping with.... ex-Mouseketeers.
And people, who for various reasons--prefer NOT to tour.I,however, would play LIVE,ANYWHERE,at the drop of a hat!I'm far more confident as a result of playing music--and i don't want to lose that edge.Yeah,I think the'NET has changed things--irrevocably.But that's OK.I think the market will determine who stays and who goes--and the PEOPLE will get to vote.At last.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We'll see.In my experience the record companies have YET to come correct,so to speak,in terms of dealing with artists in an appropriate manner--after all,Don Henley was still fighting for parity--Prince had to fight to get his own damn NAME back--Toni Braxton wound up getting played by HER own label...look,I won't rule it out..BUT,
the handwriting's on the wall--they aren't in any danger of being accused of being altruists in any way, shape or form.
It would have to be SIGNIFICANT..and no christmas albums.

Band History:
SAS FLIGHT sk904...just after the champagne was served, recording began..the first cut,"G4at60K"was written and recorded right there--inspired by the graceful passage of a Gulfstream G4.it was quite possibly the first cut EVER recorded at 40,000 feet--and inspiration to work on the rest of the disc.We realized right away the world had changed for us--I don't think ANYONE has ever done their first recording midflight before.Thank you SAS and Yamaha!

The places i really love aren't in the cities..I love the mountains, the ocean,and--this is gonna sound strange...but I REALLY like it when the airliner gets above the clouds and the "no smoking'light comes on--something about the anticipation.
