Why this name?
With this name Soldier 4 Christ, I Wanted to have a name that was, very standoutish, something that I could look at and see what I am supposed to be as another brother in the body of Christ and in this fleshy side of this world. I also was watching a movie that I borrwed from the library on the Korean War,and in it I saw soldiers fighting for this army and that army, and me being down with Jesus I felt like I was fighting in his army against the otherside.
Do you play live?
I have have performed live as of mostly with the blessings bestowed on Bishop O.G. Freeze of Tacoma,WA. He has been blessing alot of Holy Hip-Hoppas to come out and open his shows for him. I happened to be one of those brothers.
I love to get out there and perform. It's also letting me know that the doors are opening for me to do bigger things. Praise the Lord.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Artists these days can press up their own cd's,sell them on the web,at their performances, person to person sales, out the trunk etc....Sell a little bit of records but taking most of that little and get something instead of nothing from being with any company that is not handling the business side of things as well. Take home what you would on a major without all the hassle.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would like to stay independent.
Sell 100,000 units a year on my own releases.
Or spread out between me and two other artist's.Does that answer the question?

Band History:
Started to get serious with this thing upon graduating from high school in 92'.Started to read every book in the library on getting into the music business. With the acquired knowledge I started to seek out people who could make beats for me,while I concentrated on getting the funds to start up the business side of the label. Alot of people are not as motivated or dedicated to make it happen as they say, cause people fall off just as soon as they hit a brickwall.
I learned a lot on making music from the people I started working with and just started to build up a studio little by little.
Once completing the studio, I guess what?Found the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal savior.I was pretty much ready to give up rap music, but realized that hip hop is expression of one's self.So I keep doing this in the form of gospel rap.
Not everybody is happy with their life, and so to those I bring the word of God. The latest project is a 9-song cd titled "My Father's Business" under the new name-Soldier 4 Christ.
This CD I present has been and is definitly a learning experience of where I come from to where I am going.

Your influences?
Phil Spector/producer
Ronnie Ronette of the Ronnettes It's really tight beats that move me more than particular rappers.
I feel that anybody who can stay on the beat while rappin' can
sound tight.
