MugWump Specific is the premier blues-rock band of Charleston Illinois. Consisting of three ready-to-rock-the- house-down EIU students, one EIU blues guru professor, and one local whose recently-discovered talent on the keys has pulled this band together. MugWump dips its' toes in rhythm and blues and of course rock n' roll. This band is all about bringing people together, crackin' a cold one and having a great time. MugWump Specific, we cure what ails ya!
Why this name?
MugWump Specific is an old time remedy for various venerial diseases. Extracted from snake oils it was the sure fire way to cure what ails ya!
Do you play live?
We so far have played in the Charleston area. Our first show was last year at Jackson Avenue Coffee Shop and sence have been playing house parties and soon to hope get booked at a few bars.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
