Jerry Leach's music is not left confined by genre. Boundaries stretch from Jazz to folk to heavy rock(see www.soundclick.com/egomachine ). With intense vocal work, as well as very methodical and percussive guitar work, many listeners can be taken by surprise.
Why this name?
I made it up while urinating on a midget mime. It is the name I was given.
Do you play live?
I play often live, but not my "solo" music. My band plays constantly at various shitholes throughout Oregon and Washington.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I guess I really don't care. I don't take my writing approach from the mindset that I need to make money. But when I write something, I want to share it, if I think it is worth sharing. If people want to support the art they love, they find a way.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As long as I am not it litigation with the IRAA already. (I love downloading music).
