Soaring Ospreys. Howling wolves. Thunderous rainstorms. These are the instruments of Earth Mother. From deep in the north country, Earth Songs gives nature top billing. With soothing melodies blown through a Native American Cedar Flute and the steady beat of Native American Drums, Earth Songs delivers an inside look at the outside world.
With wilderness as inspiration, flutist Arthur Putnam leads Earth Songs through a journey of sight, flight and sound. this is the world's soundtrack. Naturally. Paying homage to the Creator. Full respect of Earth Mother. Come along and glide alongside the osprey through the world of rain, fire and wind. It's a musical adventure you will never forget.

Why this name?
Much of what I do uses the sound of Earth Mother and so I think it is a good name to share all.

Yes often I play at local events and gigs in my area.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows me to share a part of me through out the world. We are all citzens of this world and it makes happy to share this with as many as I can.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes if I could still be free to do what I like to do most, Share my music!
Your influences?
I really bring my inner self outward with nature that is all around me in my music style.

Where I live in the montains of the far north.

Very deep and meditative Arthur...and your production continues to walk forward. Loved the the ebb and flow of it all...especially the when the flute wanders by like dust in the wind. Beautiful. Adding it to my Pinewind Station!

Beautiful ride down a peaceful river. You have shared it well my friend. The keyboard has opened new trails for you and your flute. Your vibrato is fuller, more natural and relaxed. Wonderful song to center with. Very nice work Arthur!

Welcome to seniors Arthur,
I enjoyed the peaceful sentiment of Timeless Place. It had an ethereal and almost fragile feeling built within it. I enjoy the Native American flute, and am of the opinion that it hasn’t found the prominence in the musical landscape that it deserves.
And, although I really liked this composition, I’m left wondering if more could have been added (such as rain, thunder or wind, to name a few effects) for emphasis. Just my opinion…

WoW...i smell new directions in the wind for Earth Songs. This is the best production sound i believe i have heard from you Arthur...new equipment? I love the swirling synths and the flutes play with each other well. Nice percussion and creative work. Easy 5 stars!!
