Soles Mojo is a shorter version of my real name, mainly because no one can ever pronounce it... or remember it for that matter!

I'm playing all around Toronto at the moment, however i have a one week showcase in Montreal, Quebec coming up, as well as a showcase tour in England, and the UK in the new year, which i'm very excited about!

Mp3's have changed the way the music world works.. and i don't necessarily think it's a bad thing.. it just means that now, musicians have the chance to work hard for themselves, and see results. I like the idea of not being owned by a major or smaller label. And I like having the freedom to control my own career path.

I would consider it, only under very particular circumstances. I don't like the idea of losing ownership of my songs, nor do i like the idea of being manufactured into something that i'm not.. so in all honesty, i doubt i'll ever sign a contract.. but i suppose only time will tell.

I've been writing songs for 13 years... and i have no intentions of stopping any time soon.

A little about me: I grew up mostly in North York with two sisters and a brother. I am the oldest. I was that kid that had everything wrong with me. If you are the one that broke the mold, I was the one made right after they glued it back together. I won’t go in to details, but I always had a note for gym class. While my brother and sisters were being shipped off to camps, or joining sports teams, I was taking music lessons and art classes. I can’t light a fire or throw a ball, but I can play “Great balls of fire” on a piano or guitar.


I’ve played in a few bands, and am now gathering people up to start my own. My music defines me; I’ve played bars, clubs, open mic nights, festivals, charities, corporate shows, and weddings to name a few. I have also composed for commercials, films, and radio.


In addition to teaching, and shows I’ve been having a lot of fun being a busker in my new neighbourhood. A busker is a person that performs on the street for those of you that don’t know (you know who you are... I’m not homeless, its a hobby).


This year I’d like my career to take a turn from mostly teaching, to predominantly performing and creating music... and i'm determined to make it happen, with alot of work, and a lot more work! (and just a wee bit of luck can't hurt)

The old anglican church south of finch on yonge ( in toronto)... the one where the wind stops, and the rain never hits you.. and the lights make the cemetary glow with life... i like serenity.. and that's where i find it..

whatever i have to use.. classical guitars, some with pickups.. some without.
