Hi Im Nikki Smith, i am a 23 year old female solo singer/songwriter from Portsmouth in the UK.
I am a passionate songwriter and have been writing for many years now and singing since i was 15. I can write any style. I prefer writing r&b slow tracks and pop ballads but love a challenge. Its just my given name nothing unusual or interesting about it really.
Do you play live?
I am looking to gig soon, i am trying to decide where im suited.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think its a great way for us unsigned artists to get our music played and to interact with others in the industry to gain feedback.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would be looking to in the very near future. Or just to be a songwriter would be fantastic.
Your influences?
At the moment im inspired by rihanna's style. I love all kinds of music really, i first started singing to britney and christina but have slowly moved away from that as to find my own unique style.
Favorite spot?
Has to be London, where its all going on. My home towns pretty cool too
Equipment used:
i just use my home computer to arrange all my tracks. i arrange all BV's and the final sound of it all. Its the best i can do with my given equiptment.
