JavierSabadell adds a new theme: ARAUCANIA
I am not professional. I could even say that my expertise on the keyboards are far from good. Because of many reasons. I learned music by myself. I learned it too late. Never got enough time to become a great player. However, I think of myself as talented for music.
Why this name?
It is my name. I like it very much.
Do you play live?
All my themes are almost "live". I try to minimize the use of sequencers and computers.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Interestingly. Of course!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No... No? Oh, why not??
Band History:
I started playing music when I was 12 y.o. with a Hammond at home that looked like a piece of furniture. It contained two octaves and coloured buttoms to play chords. That was my first tool to learn music, plus (of course) several basic books that helped me to establish foundations to what I instinctively knew.
I even tried to learn to read and write music, but at the end I decided the effort did not deserve the time I was consuming.
So, my knowledge of music became knowledge of others' music and I kept following my own instincts when composing.
One year later, at 13 y.o., I composed my first theme ("Vademecum") using double-casette-recorders as home-made sequencer. It was funny. And the results were very good indeed. So I composed other three pieces of music, one of them with my own voice singing strange psychodelic phrases.
Later on, once I have exhausted the Hammond at its maximum, I bought a more reasonable keyboard. It was a Yamaha PSR64. With this Yamaha I was happy creating any music I decided to pursue. The result is partially shown in the album TRACKS. The sound is not good, and I make so many mistakes playing live. But I like them very much. In fact, with the Yamaha I could learn that, sometimes, the less sophisticated the music is, the more creative.
With time, I was introduced into the fascinating world of synthesizers with a Roland JV50 that I bought. You may enjoy the new results in TRIENNIUM and THE LORD OF THE RINGS.
Ten years later, I play and compose music with a Fantom X6 and a Yamaha Tyros 2, and have a touch of curiosity about computers, VST's and so on. I have just started. Pay attention to EXPANSION and will have a clue about my forthcoming future in music.

Your influences?
No idea. Everyone may have influence on my music. Maybe the strongest influence comes from Vangelis. I cannot decide clearly. I always liked his music. But I never tried to compose music because of him. For sure I have no influence coming from new age or similar. Actually, I do not like relaxing atmospheres and things like that.
Favorite spot?
I have seen the cities of many men and learned their manners (Homero)
Equipment used:
A Roland Fantom X6 and a Yamaha Tyros 2. I should use more computers, but I do not like them very much. Too "fancy".
Anything else...?
I must thank my father for having bought that old Hammond. It brought me to here...

Es fantástico Javier! Has sabido aprovechar una melodía sencilla, llevándola por unas variaciones armónicas frescas. Perfecto para vivir un cuento, fantasía e imaginación. Felicidades y gracias por compartirlo. Mis cinco estrellas.
