I with my band play modern country. We have no live steel guitar or fiddles, instead we have sax and keyboards. We play songs from my album, being covers and originals.
Do you play live?
Currently doing regular shows outside Melbounre in a town called Macedon.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It brings the world to my office.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they're interested.
Band History:
Born and raised in the City of Melbourne, Australia, Graham’s musical influences of the day came from the likes of Marty Robbins, Guy Mitchell and the Everly Brothers which gave him his country roots.
Joining the band STONEY CREEK in 1979, the band carved a name for itself on Australia's country music circuit, head lining at most of the major music festivals in the eastern states. Because of the band's harmonizing and backing abilities they were also chosen as a back up band for many of Australia’s top solo artists and support band for Tom T. Hall and Diana Trask. We were also the backing band for the contestants in the Tamworth Starmaker Talent Quest, an event that was to launch the careers of several of today's stars such as Keith Urban.
During this period he was writing more songs than the band could use, so he entered the New Zealand Gold Guitar Awards winning Best Composition with Lady Right and also fourth prize for Goodbye Lover, Hello Friend.
2005 saw Graham back in the studios to record some of the songs that had been previously recorded. January 2006 saw the independent release of a four song EP which was played on radio throughout Australia and Europe while finishing off the Soundboard album.
Goodbye Lover, Hello Friend was released on a compilation album and released to 25 countries by NITE*SKY Records of Ohio, U.S. which received considerable airplay. The second single, Crazy, also been released by NITE*SKY Records and is beginning to get worldwide airplay.
