Who's Semaj? Well the name SEMAJ is JAMES spelled backwards. Each letter in the name has its own meaning. S-oon E-veryone M-ust A-cknowledge J-esus .Born and raised in the rural farmlands of CATAWBA, SC was a unique boy by the name Semaj. Semaj is the youngest of four. This youngster was a constant "church goer" that was brought up in the church as a baby! As Semaj grew older and began to experience life he strayed away from the body of Christ to later become involved with the harsh streets of the Charlotte, NC metropolitan area. While living this life away from the guidence of his Savior he began to sell drugs and use drugs. These bad decisions lead to other unwise decisions. For instance Semaj joined a gang at an early age but became an active member of it in his pre-teen years. Though Semaj had been rapping since the age of 8, while living this corrupt lifestyle he learned the in's and out's of the rap game. So he began to rap using violent, racial, negative, and unwelcome lyrics. Then suddenly at the age of 18 some of those unwise decisions began to rapidly back-fire on this young man. Semaj tried to "fight the law" and the "LAW WON"! He was arrested on three gun charges, one which was a Felony charge. This event created a "turning point" for the young fellow. Semaj soon after was released for the custody of The Moss Justice Detention Center. After his release Semaj slowly but surely began to return to his Christian roots! He began to read his bible daily and developed a personal relationship with his Savior Jesus Christ! Semaj has since been spitting hotness under the Christian Base record label FIRE-HOWZE ENT. Doing shows/outreaches worldwide just to name a few... Las Vegas, DALLAS, ATLANTA, CHARLOTTE, NASHVILLE, ORLANDO, ETC.. Semaj is truly a living testimony that JESUS, the KING OF KINGS LIVES AND "REIGNS FOREVER"!!
