Dornob dastgah jam band in San Diego, California.
Persian classical, folk, and original music played with the collective spirit of jazz.
Our goal, in addition to friendship, crossing cultural bridges, learning the music, and having fun playing music, is to make Persian music accessible to young and non-Iranian audiences.
Dornob is effectively a merge of Darvak (Persian traditional) and Jazmahalis (Persian folk jazz). Check out all three on Soundclick.

Why this name?
Our name was suggested by Nima when he and Kamron first started the band in 2000.
