We are Dave, Martin and Reb collectively known as Mizi. Our mission is to write mellow/funky tunes. Music you can sit and listen to and enjoy but at the same time music you can get up and dance to. Our songs are written around strong bass/drum grooves, using the sound of live instruments. Over this we layer several keyboard/synth melodies and top it off with some top class vocals.

We have just finished recording our album, All that and everything. The album is available to purchase on Soundclick here

Or the Album is available to buy from Mizi - All that and Everything

Why this name?
Martin wanted to call us Mizu, but that is a noodle bar in town, so we changed it to Mizi.
Do you play live?
Yes we play live and and found that the tracks translate well from studio to stage. Our live sound is bolstered up my Martin/Vicki & Mark making us a 6 piece band.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
If you are reading this, there is your answer.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe, if the deal was right.
Band History:
Mizi (originally Groove-UK) came about in early 2006 when David Parker (Drums/Keys) invited his neighbour Martin Hicks (Bass) over to his home studio in Ipswich (UK) to have a jam and record it. We soon realised that we had a good thing going on and recorded some more tracks. We then brought in Reb Capper on vocals in June 2006, and we felt more like a band. In Summer 2007 we ventured out onto the stage, we brought in Martin on drums, Vicki on backing vocals and Mark on occasional bass. We have been working on an album, which is now complete. You can hear all the tracks here. Now we are going to be promoting the album and doing some more live dates for the summer.
