Well I've created songs as a child but nothing I actually took seriously until I was about 16 years old. I come from two family lines of musicians: one from my mother's side and the other from my father's side. I'm one of the "few" out of many who is actually doing something with it, though.

I'm multi-talented and divinely gifted. I play the keyboard by ear. I compose music, record it, sing all vocals and haven't had any prior professional training. I'm God-taught (most commonly used term for it would be 'self-taught').

Over the years I've created 100s of tracks and full songs. The more I do music, the more enhanced I become. Music is my bliss. I am most ecstatic when I'm making music.
Why this name?
VNR stands for Vibes-n-Rhythms. Suits my music and what I do perfectly. All of my tracks are completely original and entirely unique. If you want to sample/license my music that's fine; just contact me to let me know and we'll work up a contract.

Nevertheless, sampling is not my thing at all. I stick to my own vibes and rhythms all the way, hence the name VNR Music.
Do you play live?
I did a few times and it was cool. I've had people try to get me to do live events but, honestly, I'm really just not interested. At least not at this point; speaking for the now. Besides, I kind of like being a "behind the scenes" type of indie.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Nope, nope, AAAAANNNNNNDDDDD NOPE! I love my indie status! :)
Your influences?
God, The Universe, Self, Life. My flavor of music is mostly a mixture of instrumental music, jazz, funk and urban styles.
Anything else...?
My current (more like "old") CD is It's Alright, which is actually a 2-disc christian album (christianity a lifestyle of 8 years I faithfully lived at the time it was created. For the record my religious status is now NONE but my spiritual status is I AM). It originally consists of 30 songs total. There are a lot of tracks because I've included the original versions of each song. But I've split the album in two: It's Alright Final Cut (disc one) and It's Alright Instrumental (disc two).

Like many musicians, I have more than one take on any given song I come up with. Sometimes the original is better than the newer version and sometimes it isn't. Some people liked the original versions so that's why I've included it on the album. My attempt to satisfy everyone. And also I thought it would be a nice way of showing my progression over the years.

Disc Two is the instrumental version of about 9 of the songs on Disc One along with three new instrumental songs. This album was put together in 2004-5 with songs dating as far back as 1996.
