I'm not ya average MC, I don't make my tracks to sound like anyone else, and I definately don't bite no one elses style. Most my tracks have a real dark feel ta them cuz I thats how I feel a lot of the time but every now and then you'll hear the odd banger or gangsta joint. Right now this is the sh*** I'm livin for, every bit of free time I got I'm spendin writin and recordin so keep checkin back to hear what I put out next.
Why this name?
It comes from my government name. If you know me you might be able to figure it out. If not, ask me.
Do you play live?
Not yet, maybe one day.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Good and bad. It's good cuz it gives an artist a better chance to market and promote himself without the help of a major label. It's a double sided sword though cuz once you make it big there's a good chance it's gonna be the reason you ain't sellin any records.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would if they made a decent offer, I would need to keep my independence somewhat with my style and ideas and I'd need ta have a good deal worked out for gettin paid. Too many people been screwed over by managers and labels.
Band History:
I was born in Scarborough on April 17th, 1987, originally living in an apartment building near Victoria Park and Ellesmere. Later moved down Ellesmere near Kennedy & Ellesmere where I was raised until about the age of 10. Then moved out to Pickering (a suburb of Toronto) and been living here ever since. Started into the rap game at 18, though I've always been a fan. Working now with some amazing producers and really starting to improve on my writing. Watch for Judgement Day dropping sometime in 2007!
Your influences?
The most influential people to my rap are my producers. The music just talks to me, and the rhymes just start coming. As for my rhyme style I like to think I have my own style.. but you might hear a little bit of Eminem or Kardinal in me sometimes.
Favorite spot?
The T-Dot definitely, but you can find me all over the GTA.
Equipment used:
Cool Edit Pro and a Sony F-V420 dynamic mic.
Anything else...?
Shout outs ta everyone that has helped me get where I am so far.. Big shout outs ta Sabre (my manager haha), DJ KillaH KaM, & B Dog you guys keep me makin my sh*** better. Shout outs ta all my producers for the beats, and thanx ta everyone who ever doubts me.
