Lance Monotone is a pop composer in the vein of the Beatles (yes, another one!), XTC (who?) and Steely Dan (yeah, I've heard of him...). His music is punctuated with intricate harmonies, sudden key changes and stop-tempo rhythms. Although he performs from time to time in Manhattan and Brooklyn, he's most at home behind a mixing console producing music for his friends and himself. He thinks he is getting pretty good at production and would someday like to be an asphalt treatment specialist working for the GMCF.
