Junior Torres bka "Slick" was born on September 22nd 1989, born in Santa Ana and raised in the Los Angeles County he was moved around several times so he wasnt just raised in one spot. In his early years he didnt do much writing he wasnt that into it. Writing actually hit him in the 7th grade... where he wrote songs with his friends. They wrote about whatever came up wether it was girls, fights, etc. His biggest influence was his cousin Albert (J-Specks) Montes. J-Specks got Junior to start rapping and he that is where the story began. Slick says "I can write about watever [is in my head], but I have range [especially] when it comes to love songs i got too much knowledge and experience it aint even funny." Slick actually started recordin in mid '05. Then, with the help of his friends, he expanded his writing ability and wrote/rap with more conviction and it sounded good. Then he knew he was on his way up. Slick said "Im not saying im the best NOW but everyday im getting better at it." So like most underground artists he´s tryin to go big, and get signed... to acheive his goal and stay up there. His legacy continues.
