Soul Winner and Jubilee
Why this name?
Through prayer and listening to the Holy Spirit! All names have meaning so we asked God to gives us the names He would want us to have. Soul Winner (simply) means a person who wins souls. Proverbs 11:30- "He that winneth souls is wise". Jubilee means in short "debt free". The year of jubilee is when all debts were forgiven. Land was given back to original owners and slaves were set free. Do you see the similarities of the jubilee tradition and the ministry of Christ?
Do you play live?
Soul Winner and Jubilee Jones have performed live throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, DC, Atlanta, Canada, New Jersey, and more. It is a humbling and awesome experience to minister the Word of God to saints and sinners alike. Every person in this world can receive something from God, whether it be salvation, deliverance, or healings, God has it for those who are willing to receive it by faith and keep it by love for Him.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is vital when it comes to change in the music industry. It gives the consumer hundreds perhaps thousaands of options to choose from right from home! The internet provides a way for people to discover new genres and types of music with out having to spend a lot of money to do so. Prayerfully we hope to find new fans and listeners for Soul Winner and Jubilee and added to Gospel Rap in general.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, we would like to sign an artist or label deal with a major. Primarily a label deal to get are other artists careers going also.
Band History:
Soul Winner and Jubilee have been together as a group since 1999. Our projects include: "Room at the Cross", "Penicillin", and "Christ Ryders". Currently in the makes is Soul Winners solo CD "The Great Invitation", and Jubilee's solo CD "The Year of Jubilee".
Your influences?
Soul Winner and Jubilee have a unique blend of rapping and singing. Our influences are The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit! We like beats that keep you bouncin' and praisin' as well as music that you can cruise with! Our lyrics are thought provoking and life changing, something the lost and saved can get with!
Favorite spot?
Our favorite spot on the map is where ever the Lord is! If 2 or 3 is gathered in His name...BIO Music headquarters, Cleveland is one, New Spirit Revival Center is another, our living room is another etc.!
