Welcome to my lair.
Here's where I stick most of my music, made under various aliases... I use FL6 and Audacity for most stuff but I've been known to fool around with other projects.
Welcome to my lair.
Here's where I stick most of my music, made under various aliases... I use FL6 and Audacity for most stuff but I've been known to fool around with other projects.
Why this name?
I use many different aliases (mostly to provide some perceived diversity when using my music for Stepmania, a hobby of mine)
Enoch - My standard alias... for standard pretty techno, nothing too hardcore or glitchy here.
DR1010 - My first alias (pronounced DEE ARE, not DOCTOR) used for most of my older stuff, anymore only for very few, piano-oriented tracks.
D-Cypher - My first hardcore alias, generally harder sounding, less melodic tracks than Enoch.
10:Hearts - (aka 10<3) Happy, Bouncy songs. That sums it up.
ALOPEX - pretty, slow, ambient, wintry/aquatic dance music
D_VOR - (derived from Devour, btw) dark, sadistic, sinister hardcore.
byt-10 - chiptune flavoured/influenced music, game-sounding music.
ukeru - Oriental-style, shamisen oriented music
(various suffixes and alterations for fun)

Do you play live?
I don't play live because I suck at it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The record industry needs to stop abusing its customers with DRM... the ones who PAY for an mp3 aren't likely to be the same ones stealing it. The old model doesn't work anymore; the internet is broading the musical base, allowing indie artists greater recognition and exposure, but ultimately less money in the long run, unless something changes with the touring scene.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
OH GOD YEAH.
Band History:
I started making music in FL my freshman year at college. I'm not a junior. Not bad for 2 years experience, huh?
Your influences?
Oh, well, I like Bemani games, DDR, and all the artists within (NAOKI, TaQ, dj TAKA, the like). Also, guys like onoken, cranky, fether, hammer, AOIRO_Manbow, all the artists from stuff like foonmix and XXmix. Sharpnel Sound is pretty awesome as well.
Favorite spot?
