Musical Serenity is the name of my new musical project and web page. I have a CD called "Music For Meditation and Serenity". This is music to chill out to. Something soothing for the soul. Something to help relieve the stress that builds in us. It is also good to fall asleep to and help transfer you to dreamland.
I, Bob Holzner, play Keyboards, Percussion, Electronic Drums, Acoustic Snare Drum and some Chanting on this CD.
Featured on this CD is Dhuni Tzadok who plays Sitars, Acoustic Guitars, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar and Chanting.
Also featured on this CD is Roland Montijo who plays Acoustic Midi Guitar Synthesizer, Electric Midi Guitar Synthesizers, Baroque Lutes and Cellos.
I am in the process of having Jess Smiley add Vocals to the song Flight Weaver and I will also be including Bill Mills on Native Flute. I have plans to add violin to the CD as well.
If you have stress and need to relax have a listen to my music and soothe your troubled soul.
This CD falls under New Age category of music but I also compose music in the Progressive Rock and Jazz Fusion categories.
You will also find some of my original music I composed for movie and/or game soundtracks using Cakewalk and Sonar computer software for composing music. I have much more in the works but need to convert these songs to the correct format for this site before I can upload them.
I also include on this site some of the music I recorded with a couple of improvisational bands (Astral Travelers, Improv Edge Runner Band) I have been in over the years.
You can also go to some of my other band sites at the following links.
http://www.soundclick.com/asteraltravelers
http://www.soundclick.com/surrealbanshee
I also uploaded a few Jazz Fusion songs I arranged and composed in 1996 using DoReMix software by Roland. I also use Cakewalk, Sonar 6 Producer software.
I will soon be working with The Funky Guitarist (Rudy Ramos) on some new Jazz Fusion songs to be posted here when complete.
There is one song that Rudy and myself put together some 20 years ago called The Picture Fusion Jam. I uploaded a copy of that song to my site. You can also hear it at The Funky Guitarist's site as well along with many other songs written by Rudy. http://www.soundclick.com/thefunkyguitarist
God Bless.

Why this name?
I chose Musical Serenity to convey that my music is composed to touch, relax and soothe the soul.
Do you play live?
Not at this time with this project. This is a solo project that I invited friends to perform on. I do play drums at our church every few weeks. I am also currently in a band called Hwy X but we are still in the music development stages of the project. I have played live in the Progressive Rock, Heavy Rock, Heavy Prog Rock Fusion, Improvisational, Space Rock, Christian Rock, and Classic and Rhythm & Blues covers types of music in the past.
I love to play live. It is a great feeling to be able to touch people's hearts and souls while performing.
Special moment: Sharing the same stage with my band and the Funky Guitarist's (Rudy Ramos) band during an outdoor fest near Louisville, Ky.
Special moment #2: Recording The Picture Fusion Jam with Rudy Ramos in a store front church in Louisville, Ky.

Hey Bob, I've always thought that your drumming was par excellance! I told Andy, he's like "Bruford and a little Cobham." I've jammed with Andrew and know he's a Shaman in guitar's clothing. I wish I could reach him some how. Can you help? Please tell him dan sopher needs to talkto him. Any help would be extremely appreciated. I'm a little desperate. I trust his wisdom over any hollow do-gooder . At the same time, I don't want to impose , so if it's a problem, I understand. Love , Danny Sopher.

If you listen to the hi-fi version of my songs you only hear a two minute excerpt.
If you listen to the lo-fi version of the song you can hear the whole version of the song.
