Born in the Ukraine and raised in Israel, Maya ran away to Berlin, London, and ended up in Manhattan. She recorded the first 4 tracks of her solo album , co-producing it with Eran Westwood - most notable for his work on Front 242's first three records. Listeners often refer to Maya as the "female David Bowie". His legendary producer, Tony Visconti, gives her ''two thumbs up''! She is compared to Bjork , Nina Hagen, Kate Bush, Freddie Mercury, and Diamanda Galas . Yet earthlings unanimously exclaim, 'I've never heard anything like it before!' Maya Sky has been dubbed an electro cabaret neuveo chanteuse, shipwrecked on an asteroid. A roller coaster of boundless emotional landscapes and lush compositions, the fierce sound & vocal delivery are entirely her own.
