Rebel With Creation first hit on the roots reggae scene in the year 2000 with the album Dubb To Afrika with the title track being a major hit with all popular reggae sound systems. This was followed by Steppas Delite in 2002 an album which moulded a new sound for UK roots. Still ever innovative in styles and sounds the following album Kebra Negast spawned the hit singles New World Order and The System.
Following the sucess of this album Rebel worked alongside some of reggae's greats and produced Rick Wayne's album Life 2000Fifth in 2005 selling well over 10,000 copies.
2006 sees the birth of a brand new album Manifestation which is already creating waves on the roots scene, those of you who are lucky to be in London can see Rebel Live and direct at Club New Orleans on Tuesday 17th Jan with more dates of his one man tour to be announced.

Why this name?
The name came about because Rebel didn't want to conform to the current "reggae" trends, revamping traditional rythm tracks and wanted to get away from the norm.
Do you play live?
Rebel is currently putting together a one man set featuring live visuals, light show and dancers.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has brought a global availability to music since if you like a particular type of music you can now find it worldwide whereas before you had to be in the right place at the right time.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Rebel says "Yes under the right conditions and that they didn't infringe on my creativity"
Your influences?
Musicians all over the world influence me from Stevie Wonder to Coldplay. Stevie is my favourite artiste, I'm also influenced by Steel Pulse, Third World, Lee Perry, Scientist, The Chemical Brothers ......
Favorite spot?
Rebel says "Bakau in The Gambia I have a lot of freinds there that I miss but I will see you all soon!!"
