Side FX is a five man band that has been playing live in the Hudson Valley area for more than 18 years. However, this site is the work of guitarist songwriter Moe Orrio, although I do get the other members of the band to sit in sometimes.
Do you play live?
We play all around the lower Hudson Valley in NY, NJ, and PA.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
After recording original music for many years I can finally be heard by more than my basic circle of friends. It gives someone with no connections at least the possiblity of being heard by someone in the music biz.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would, but only if I had to quit my day job.
Your influences?
I am a guitarist and my influences are all the great guitar fueled groups from the past. My music is a blend of everything from blues to psychedelic.
Favorite spot?
The one on the ceiling above my computer
