Christine was born and raised in Elliot Lake, Ontario. Even though her parents bought her numerous guitars when she was younger, she only started to seriously play when she was seventeen. She then started to write songs no less then a month later, only knowing a few chords. She has been writing songs ever since. She was accepted to White Mountain Academy of the Arts in 1998, and was pleasantly surprised to learn that many of the other students were also musicians. This began a close-knit community of musicians who shared many nights of playing
music and watching the sun come up. She was never formally trained, but learned from the other musicians around her. In 1999, she met Ryan Dawe and they began to play together and arrange their own original music. It was the start of a musical relationship that has now bloomed into a pending debut album.
