This is the future, yall is lookin at the rookie of the year 2006 P. Floata Mu'F***a the P stands for pounds of work. Money Hungry Records. IT'S A CELEBRATION bi***ES!
Why this name?
People on the street already knew me as P, my homeboy Korey gave me tha name floata cuz of how much i like to smoke.
Do you play live?
I play live a couple of places, I've done J Paul's on Tara Blvd., 20 Grand on Old Nat'l, Griffin, GA, Carrolton, GA etc. One of my favorite moments was performing with Maceo at 20 Grand and everybody from the audience just rushed the stage, security couldn't even stop them.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It just gives indepent labels more exposure.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would, but they would just have to present my team with the right amount of dollars. We Money Hungry!
Band History:
I started out wit Brutality Records in high school and built a small fanbase. The buzz from the Brutality thing linked me to Twinn Productions in 99 wit the Trapp Boyz but we left them and started Money Hungry Records last year and here we is now.
Your influences?
man since i was a kid i been listening to outkast, jay-z, mobb deep, ugk, 8ball & MJG, three six mafia, snoop & dre, nas, geto boys mostly gangsta rap influences but i like the old r&B legends too ya dig.
Favorite spot?
My favorite city is Atlanta, my favorite spot there is anywhere in Gwinnett or Mechanicsville cuz thats where niggas show me the most love.
Equipment used:
we use pro tools, mpc 2000, roland fantom, whatever my man Cope can get his hands on really its always changin.
Anything else...?
It's P. Floata bi*** I'm the rookie of the year 2006 i got my team behind me, my management team, Youngest In Charge Ent.
