Why this name?
This was inspired by the movie "Android", which has a scene where a loveable but futzy android learns he will be disassembled and reused for a greater good. While listening to his last radio broadcast from Earth, he hears a news bulletin that the androids in Munich turned on their masters, killing them, as they no longer wanted to be machines, but wanted to feel and be human. They were exhibiting "Munich Syndrome". That resonated with wanting to find the humanity in the music that can be made with machines.
Do you play live?
At this point in time, no. Currently Munich Syndrome is a studio project.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows a wider range of people to discover music that might otherwise fly under their radar, and allows people to make direct contact without the constraints (and limitations) of working for a larger corporation. It also empowers both the artists and the consumers.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If it would appear beneficial for all parties, yes.
Band History:
Munich Syndrome began as a bedroom experiment with a couple of synthesizers and a drum machine. Slowly more synths were added and then a porta studio gave the project a clearer focus. As time (and technology) moved on, rudimentary sequencing programs were experimented with, but it wasn't until Logic and Logic Pro were adopted as the working environment of choice, that Munich Syndrome actually came together.
Your influences?
The list is long: Kraftwerk, Hybrid, Voice Farm, Junkie XL, Soft Cell, Client, the Human League, OneTwo, Gary Numan,Justice, Digitalism, Madonna, Sneaker Pimps, Miss Kittin, Pet Shop Boys, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Propaganda, Trevor Horn, Siouxsie, Garbage, Stephen Hague, etc.
Favorite spot?
Paris, France.
Equipment used:
Logic Pro, Native Instruments, Spectrasonics, Virus Indigo.
Anything else...?
Thanks for checking this project out. New songs are being added and for anyone interested, there is a Munich Syndrome merchandise shop available via the MunichSyndrome website.
Cheers!

This is different! Very Techno smile :)

I like it alot. It's an older style, reminds me of the early 90's groups like LaTour.
