Phobos means fear in Greek language. Because, my music is dark/gothic/horror-like, I liked the fact of using this word.

Haven't played yet, as the band is relatively new to the scene.

Musicians can promote their own music without the need of a record label. Things have become much more simple, but there is a LOT of competition out there (between artists and bands).

Probably, they still have great promotion worldwide. But, that also depends on the terms as well...

Coming from a classical background, having studied piano for 8 years and having contributed my piano and keyboard skills and ideas from Greek Rock to Melodic-Black Metal bands, I realized that it was time to move forward and create something of my own – a place where I would be artistically free to perform and compose. During the time when I was still experimenting with sound and various music styles, having written Dark Ambient, Ambient Electronic / Chill-out tracks, as well as some Film music, the concept of a band that would combine pretty much all of my influences was beginning to take shape; Metal being my main influence (for over a decade now) would provide the base for the Dark Atmospheres, Orchestral-Soundtrack parts and Female vocals to be laid upon.

Thus, Phobos Corporation was born. Within a week’s time I composed the 3 tracks that you will find in the Demo and went off to record the female vocals at "Studio Effect" in Athens, under the constant supervision and helping hand of friend and producer Graig Laggios. After a 2-week stay there, our first demo "As the Angel Stared" was released.
