Compact Deity is a modern rock band with early Arabic, 1980's British alternative/new wave, original punk, classic rock, psychedelic, shoegazer, electronic and industrial influences.
Compact Deity hails from the industrial wasteland of Detroit. It is an isolated rust-belt city that doesn't coddle anyone. Detroit music, hence, tends to be unpretentious and earnest. It exists for its own sake.
