Four good friends-three girls and one boy, got together in a shed one summers day and made some noise. Decided that it was fun and built upon the initial ideas to create a mix up of musical influences that turned into In Theory.
Do you play live?
We thrive on live gigs, mainly in and around Sheffield but we're soon to leave the comforts of a familiar city and travel around. Every gig has it's special moments, especially each time we receive positive feedback
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes music a lot more accessible and allows people to make music in their bedrooms and so widens the entry requirements to the music industry.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the timing was right and the contract was decent. Of course
Your influences?
pavement, placebo, jack off jill, a perfect circle, blondie, nirvana.. we're all into different types of music, from hardcore to electronica, grunge to indie so it's really hard to just write a few down.
Favorite spot?
Sheffield has been lovely to gig in, and we can't wait to find more cities.
