Mind Fission was a name that just came to be. Now, I go by the name Tainted Sun.

You've got to love sites like SoundClick and the late MP3.com. It's nice having a place to host your music for people to listen to and rate your songs. Sadly though, not nearly enough people peruse these sites looking for new music, even I am guilty of that.

Sure, why not? I mean, I might have to obtain some skills first but worse artists have entered the public eye.

Years ago, a friend of mine got me into creating music with simple software, i.e., Ejay, Acid DJ, FLStudio. The hobby never evolved too far from that point, but the software did.

For me, doing music has been the least cost effective activity I have ever taken part of. Considering all the money and time I've put into collecting software and buying hardware, I should really be throwing down some hardcore beat. Instead, I'm wading in stagnant waters.

Maybe one day the river will start flowing again, who knows.

Genres of electronica - Drum and Bass, Jungle, House, Techno

In terms of electronica, I want to hear something I have never heard before. Electronica is, and should be, all about the amatures, the underground. The new and unique is far better than the old and heard.

Besides electronica - Explosions in the Sky, Pinback, Minus the Bear, Circa Survive, Cursive.

My family owns an island in the middle of nowhere on the Great Lakes. It's not worth much, and there isn't an electricity, but it's the perfect get away.
