An-D: "An Individual interogated from the outside culture of society." The reason being because of yorkshires non existant hip hop culture. This town lacks variation. So for 2yrs now i have set my target not to dissolve into this similarity and gather respect as a hip hop artist.
I express individualism, knowledge reigning from positive and negative encounters and most of all- I express all this from my soul. Music is my life. There is not 1 day that passes without hip hop being in my veins. So wheneva feelings come in contact with my mentality, I cant help but pick up a pen.

People in this world are too quick to judge surface and that really used to crumble my mentality. So ever since I wasnt looked upon to have my say, I have commited myself to this pad. I have discovered who I really am. Now I am able to withold my own near anyone.

Why this name?
Verbal War Tactics is the name of my hip hop forum, so I just used that. The name i go by is An-D (Andy). But i couldnt sign up with that name coz some twat has already taken it! lol
Do you play live?
I performed my first EVER rap at a wedding believe it or not. This consisted of around 50 people. Looking back, i dont believe it was much cop but afterall it was a spure of the moment thing- so I had no rehearshal or beat behind me.
I will be performing my recent sh*** when my audio really begins to take off, coz as yet, I am just getting started doing the vocals.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It opens alot of doors for practice, especially via hip hop forums. These provide a good way to interect (i.e. battle, discuss hip hop). Basically they allow people to open their mind more, in my opinion.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they could except me for me and not have the accomplish of just money, then yes.
Band History:
I "discovered" hip hop in the year 2000 through a commercial level. Ever since, I have sunk into the music deeper. Hip Hop is such an art and has so many varieties that can suit all tastes.

I started writing around 2001 at a very basic level, as you would expect. Since that moment I havent been able to stop writing. My lyrics have elevated so much using an extended range of skills.

I begun recording my lyrics around a month ago. So I have alot to learn at present.
Your influences?
I dont really class them as influences, more of as inspiration. I am not the type of person to become easily influenced. But the artists that really inspire me to write my own sh*** are as follows:
tupac shakur, nasir jones, dilated peoples, wu tang clan, linkin park, common, mos def, gangstarr.
I always class a good friend of mine as a major inspiration to me. He goes by the name of Xavier (LyricalRhymez). He lives in the USA, and although we've never met, his music and his conversations have really gave me encouragement. I can really relate to his outlooks on life and his passion for the music. I really owe alot to u X.
Favorite spot?
My room. Its the basis of all my rhymes.
Equipment used:
Shure SM58 Mic, Numark T200 Turntables & Stanton RM3s Mixer. I leave the production work to some of the producers I talk to via the internet. Not coz I am lazy but because I have so much mentality that I need to get down onto my paper and I dont want that attention to be pulled away.
In the near future, I have been offered free studio time so I aim to produce my future work down there.
Anything else...?
