NEW MYSPACE SITE! GO TO : WWW.MYSPACE.COM/JBEATPRODUCTIONS

Hey people!

My names Jay, I'm 25, Based in Feltham, and have been writing music of all varieties since I was about 7.

I'm heavily in to Hardcore / FreeFlow, Garage, Drum'n'Bass, Jazz, Acoustic guitar + Piano, Hip-hop, Reggae and well..

A quick thankyou to EVERYONE ON FACEBOOK.COM THAT HAS SUBSCRIBED TO THIS SITE AND GIVEN ME FEEDBACK! :D Don't forget to rate the tracks you listen to, guys! Every click helps! ^_^

Im eclectic. I love everything when it comes to music, so if theres a genre out there, I've probably written something in it. xD
Why this name?
Well, I've always been known as J-Beat, so I just kinda put 2 and 2 together. ^.^

I am aware that theres another DJ coming out now called J-Beat but I hope to one day be big enough to say "Sorry mate, I was here first"
Do you play live?
I probably could if I had a PC, Keyboard and software installed on a stage. Haven't tried it...

Well worth a go tho..

Wait.. DECKS!! ^.^
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Music sales are up 20 fold, People are spending more money on MP3's now than on CDs, so to be honest, I can only see the good in it.

Obviously, people will download MP3s through P2P software, but to be honest, as long as my music gets out there, I don't care how people get it.

I'm just happy to know that people are listening to, and enjoying my music!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Thats my goal. Just to get my music heard on a large scale would be a dream come true. Sure, the money would be good, but I'd be more pleased if I was getting my music out there to a large audience, not earning any money, than I would be if I was earning a bomb producing for a small audience. aww well, such is life. :)
Band History:
Well, I started writing music on my first keyboard aged about seven.... yada yada yada..

Here I am writing music at a more advanced level.

I've never been trained, never been taught ANYTHING in regards to music. Everything I know is self taught.
Your influences?
Funnily enough, I'm in to Muse. a UK Rock band who rock more than fried chicken, although I'm also in to other types of musical group/artists.

Someone I strongly recommend looking out for is a Hardcore/dance/trance/d'n'b/garage artist called OVERFLOW. He's incredible, and has been a massive influence on my musical life.

I one day wish to be as good as him.

Now if we're talking about influences, look at tracks such as I Tried My Best. My Ex. *Shudder*

Yes.. influential.. for all the wrong reasons >.<

Right now, theres someone in my life thats totally turned me round and made me realize that the music I make in my spare time ISNT all that bad, and that it is possible to make a living from it.

Favorite spot?
Central London. Beautiful bustling city full of adventure. Amazing, different, diverse, and unique are the types of people you can find there.
Equipment used:
PC with FL6, SF Acid-6, and a Korg Triton Workstation. (Only for midi note arrangement for transferral to a VSTI connected piano roll editor later.
Anything else...?
Id just like to say a MASSIVE thank you to.. EVERYONE IN MY LIFE THAT HAS MADE A DIFFERENCE SOMEHOW, whether it's positive or negative, you have taught me a lesson. Thank you! :)
