Arafax is making tons of music. Finalizing what will be the main focus songs for the album release.

We need more band members, but I know God will make everything work out!

Arafax is still mostly instrumental rock.

Why this name?
I chose my band name from a song by Falling Up called Arafax Deep. I thought that would be a cool name, so I looked up what Arafax is about. From what I gathered it is a legend about a Dragon kite that has never seen a human so doesn't really believe they exist because it is always in the air, eventually it comes down, to be held by a human child. Something like that.
Do you play live?
We don't play live yet. We need PRACTICE!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is a double edged sword, it is good for some small unknown bands to get their stuff known, but it can also kill lesser known bands by people downloading all their stuff instead of buying it. Support the music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes.
Band History:
It all started years ago. I don't know how many exactly, but it was probably about 5 or 6 years ago, that this all started. I wanted to be a drummer in a band. That was my dream. I wanted to make music and play drums.
My friend, Dan Peirson, played guitar and he wanted to perform as well. He is an amazing guitarist that could do anything! So Dan and I would have jamming sessions in his basement. He with his electric guitar and me with card board boxes of different size and thickness and some never used pencil crayons.
We even came up with a few tunes, none of them complete. We were tentavily called 'Impulse' at the time.
We had aspirations for a great future for our band. We even did some REALLY primitive recordings using a little tape recorder. Good times.
Well a time came when Dan wanted me to music at camp with him. Camp was 3 months away.
He then convinced me to learn guitar. So in 3 months I learned the guitar. I learned the basic chords and how to play them properly. I basically sucked. But good enough for camp songs.
Eventually Dan left to college and our dreams of our band left with him. So here I was left behind. But I still wanted to be in a band! I eventually bought my own electric guitar.
I played at the next years camp, at church a few times, and at camp the yeara after. I have been playing at the camp ever since. (well it has only been 4 years I think). I got my effects board in the fall of 2003 I think. I seriously can't remember if it was 2002 or 2003.I am pretty sure it was 2003.
Whatever. I got it 2 weeks before I was to play at our youth groups annual Bale Maze. That was really fun!
With this Digitech GNX3 effects board I started my journey into the music world. It has an 8-track digital recorder on it. So I could record my stuff with digital quality. I then began making my tunes. I had no idea how to make songs. I just learned from trial and error, with PLENTY of error!
I then started transferring my stuff to my computer. I would use sound recorder and the drum loops from the program I was given with the effects board and put together my stuff. It was AWFUL!! I had no sense of beat. I then realzied that I actually had to record my stuff to a set beat at the time, cuz the drum loops I had were only, 95 BPM, 100BPM, 105BPM, 110BPM, and 115BPM!! So I started recording my stuff at those set BPM's just so I could add drums to them.
I used this techinique for a long time. I then got the FL Studio 4 demo. I learned this program fast, and it is awesome!!
I now use FL Studio 5 producer edition. FLS 4 has tons of features that were completely alien to me. But I learned. I started to incorporate techno and synth into my stuff. My first complete song (that I care to share with anybody) was Broken Shards. I was still using my preset drum loops at the time. But I had successfully incorporated techno.

I then learned how to use the drums on FLS 4. I later got the demo of FLS 5 and found that they have a MUCH better drum program. I still plan on redoing some of the drums on my earlier songs, like 'Alone in the Dark' for example.

So now to modern day me. The day I was to put my first songs on the net, I realized I needed a band name. So I thought, and I thought. Then I remembered an idea that had come to mind a few weeks previous. I got the name Arafax from a song by the band Falling Up and their song 'Arafax Deep'.
The name is a legend that talks about a dragon kyte that is flying in the sky. It hears about humans but doesn't believe in their existence, because it can't see them. One day the kyte falls to the ground. Only to be picked up by a human child. Then it believes.

This story has many good points about faith, and the lives we lead. We find ourselves wrapped up in the world and we, in our ignorance, forget about or simply don't believe in God. But usually at our times of desperate need, the times when we fall, there is nowhere else to look but up, and that is where Jesus wants us. Looking up to Him, needing Him and accepting Him for who He is and what He has done for us. Don't let the clouds of life blind you to God.

So there is my band bio. I am the only member so far, but there are things on the horizon that may just change things. So keep a look out for updates over this next year, I predict some crazy things are gonna happen with Arafax!

Arafax is now Lukus Cseh (guitar, songwriting, and stuff),Stan Koshowski (drums), Joe Cseh (guitar, and stuff, probably songwriting too).

We have not made music as a band yet though until further notice. Everything so far is just me.
Your influences?
Newsboys, cuz they influenced me spirtually by being good role models. Musical influence: Skillet, Lifehouse, Thousand Foot Krutch, Kutless, Linkin Park
Equipment used:
I add some techno, synth, and drums using FL Studios 4, 5 and 6. But I now primarily use Reason 3. I have FL Studio 6 rewired to Reason 3. My guitar is a Fender Stratocaster, my guitar effects board is a Digitech GNX 3, my computer kicks butt. I use Guitar Rig 2 for most of my guitar recording.
Anything else...?
