I am an aspiring songwriter in the Columbus area. I am a member of the Dayton/Cincinnati chapter of the Nashville Songwriters association International (NSAI). In addition, I co-produce a public access T.V. show entitled Songwriter Connection. We have been fortunate enough to have several notable Nashville pro-writers as guests on our show (Jeffrey Steele, Kerry Kurt Phillips, Wynn Varble, Rivers Rutherford, Richard Leigh to name a few).
Why this name?
Of course - it's my name
Do you play live?
I play live at a couple of venues in the area (Rong Tan's in Cincinnati, Stagecoach Barbeque in Columbus, and Nightsky in Troy, Ohio). I got to play 2 songs at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville as part of National Guitar Workshops class.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it makes it possible for those who "haven't made it yet" to get there music out to a broad spectrum of people. Very cool....
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah, but fat chance
Band History:
I have been writing songs for about 5 - 6 years since I joined the NSAI chapter. I participate in a songwriters-in-the-round 2 Wednesdays a month in Cincinnati. We have agreat, supportive group of songwriters.
