Dearest family fans of Timothy S. Epperhart:

This bulletin is to inform my friends and fans on Soundclick that I am going to be selling my Definitive Collection of songs that I have written and recorded as soon as next month.

What this means is the songs you see on the list will no no longer be free through soundclick.com and you will be able to either buy them through soundclick.com or purchase them directly through me by order a copy through my mail.

I'm launching the CD release on July 4'th - the Definitive works CD will have a couple new songs that i've recorded this year as well. This is my 20'th anniversery year of playing guitar.

For very limited time however, these songs are still FREE on my V.I.P. Soundclick Website.

This *is* The Definitive Collection of Timothy S. Epperhart as follows:

PS -
ONCE AGAIN:

This is the very last month you'll be seeing these songs for free.. So if your my friend or FAN and want this collection FREE for a limited time and do not have them yet, get them and add them for an extra added historical value to your music collection.
Why this name?
My bandname is Outlaw Son. I'm not really sure why I chose it - it made sense to me at the time, being a solo artist among a lot of band groups online and yeah I see myself as an "Outlaw" in the sense of being just a son of the old-way, that defied laws that pretty much define todays musical industry, especially in Rock.
Do you play live?
I mostly play in Jacksonville, Florida where I live. There has been very many special moments, most of which were not even here but on the road and in my lifetime. Though Jacksonvilles gotta be one of the coolest places i've played. The greatest moment in my career is when I got to play the Morrocco Shrine Auditorium in 2007.

Truth be told I haven't really played live a whole lot these past couple of years - but I would certainly hope and like to in the future. The demand for me just isn't as strong as I need it to be in my area. I think i'm going to try and start advertising myself, see if it works, maybe try and open up for other acts.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The industry in and of itself is composed of different levels of noteriety. The big stars we hear on the radio and see on the TV may in fact be influenced by what's happening underground for the mere fact they used to be the small guys too.

No matter who you are: It all starts with a dream!

Those of us who have been here (In the underground) a very long time know where we are and live in the real world. The "industry" - to us, is quite litterally living and working in the real world and living a shared existance with the rest of indutrial consumers.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign with a major label. It aint easy trying to put out music by yourself. Try being me these past 10-20 years doing everything by yourself & see how you like it. It's frustrating to me in a lot of ways. I might be considered a sell out for wanting more for myself and my family writing music. Maybe if folks would open their eyes and understand, this is my job, my first love and dream. My musicianship shouldn't be comprimised for living my dream. I tip my hat to those who have made it and raise my glass high to the hope and a better future for myself in writing music.
Band History:
I first picked up a guitar on Christmas 1989. You can actually see the video of it here on this site, under the video titled "Rescue Me". The amazing thing is, this is the 20'th anniversery year of when I got my guitar 20 year ago. When I was a teenager - I started playing drums in a band. I always played my guitar and wrote songs with my closest friends, who were also young musicians. When all my friends left because our parents were in the military, I put down the drums and picked my guitar back up when I was about 17 years old. I played, played and played some more - I liked the idea of being "acoustic punk grunge" and bringing new ideas into music. I practiced nightly and mastered the basic chords.

When I was 20, I wrapped my guitar in an old afgan, tied it up in shoe string, got on a greyhound bus and made my way out west to Missouri. For me: going to the "Show me" state was me showing the world that I was ready for my life to begin. I wrote and played for many years out there. I even got married, then I divorced and came back home here to Jacksonville. Divorce was hard, but it was a reality that I needed to keep my dream alive. I never had any children of my own, except the songs i've written i've considered as my children.

I recorded a lot of songs over the years. Some better than others and others not really even trying just wanting to jam and getting out some feelings. I never had anything other than my music to get out feelings, like art is to an artist I suppose.

Right now - in 2009 i'm going to be releasing on July 4'th a Definitive Works CD that'll be about 15.00 here on Soundclick with all of my songs on it.
Your influences?
I grew up listening to all kinds of music. So far as what you're to expect from me is the realness of Acoustic Folk Rock in true form. There's so many other musical influences that play part in this, Acoustic Folk is much more akin to Jeet Kun Do - as Bruce Lee would have put it, a blend of all forms of martial arts in one!
Favorite spot?
Favorite spot and city is Columbia, Missouri on 9'th St.
