Brian Wilson said of his epic work Pet Sounds, "I wanted to make the listener feel loved." Those words have always remained with me and I hope to share loving, healing sounds with the listener as well.
Music
As life gets complicated, the answer is childlike faith...
A hat tip to The Beatles' Second Album - and a fresh new sound for those too young to remember that great experience. Highest position in Pop was #3; Highest position in subgenre Pop Rock was #2.
Melodic 70s pop styled track.
This song is a confession of weakness and a musical journey from Pet Sounds to God's ears.
This is my version of Tony Hearn's instant surf rock classic. Hot rod harmonies and big surf beat = lots of summer fun! (highest chart position: # 2 in subgenre Pop Rock).
A popping little rocker with a wink and a nod to the Fab Four... (highest position reached was # 1). Total songs: 2,052
Just a demo with John, Paul, George and Ringo in mind...it was raining this morning. I know its derivative but I grew up with the Fabs...;)
Highest charts position in subgenre: # 2 (1,801 songs currently listed in Alternative > Brit Pop)
Sweet mood in a California pop context. Reverb guitars, 4-part harmonies, beat ballad. Highest charts position in subgenre: # 1 (1,543 songs currently listed in Pop > AAA)
My turn to be the Walrus. Gook gooka joob!
Psychedelic '72 period Lennonism. Reached #3 on the Alternative Brit Pop chart (1,942 entries).
When your dreams break your heart, you can cry on my shoulder. Faithful love will never fail you...
This track has been played over 12,000 times on SoundClick.com. Thanks to all who shared this listening experience!

Johnny with Iraqi Soldier 2008 Baghdad, Iraq
10 July 2008 "In Malibu"
1982- I wanted to be #1 in the Nation
Why this name?
The three of us (me, myself, and I) reached consensus after a nasty power struggle.
Do you play live?
I play live in Church, coffee houses, in the combat zone in Iraq (I am a soldier on active duty), at ceremonies, wherever I can.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives the little guys a fighting chance. It eliminates some of the middle men and gives an immediate contact opportunity between the listener and the artist.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely! I'm available today! :P
Band History:
I played in bands in Richmond, VA in the 80s as Johnny Proctor and the Fabulous Noys, Johnny Proctor and Bad, and the Jammin' Joe Realm. I have opened for Phil Keaggy and played extensively as a worship leader in Church. As an active duty soldier, I have played a lot at chapel services, Prayer Breakfasts and deployments.
Your influences?
The Beach Boys, Beatles, Phil Keagy, Four Freshmen, Israel's Hope, Lamb, Nat King Cole, The Jam, Harry Gore, Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline, Jan & Dean, John Michael Talbot, George Gershwin.
Favorite spot?
The Beach!!!!!!!!
Equipment used:
Roland BR532 Digital 4-Track recording station and pawn shop instruments. I have a fairly nice tambourine, though. I always record in flip flops.
Anything else...?
I LOVE talking music with anybody! Please tell me what you like/dislike about my music at abnjumpmaster56m@yahoo.com and PLEASE listen to more than one song because they're all different! Thanks for checking me out! :)

Mr Johnny,
it has become dirge like here at soundclick... hope you are doing fine , There is a new music site called Musicxray.net it has some FREE song submissions yet another way to submit your music into the black hole of never hearing back from that " industry professional " LOL , ha ha what a shame . I listen to your musical performance and think should have been a Raspberry or Beachboy or a Fountains of Wayne or something .
spent memorial weekend watching old WWII movies ( my favorites ) how about you ?
cheers

Johnny,
I have to find out. Is the drumming in 'MAKE UP YOUR MIND" computer generated or is it actual drumming? Everytime I listen to it, I hear something more that I like. The drumming is amazingly tight and on time! I also like the grumble of the bass!

Hey Johnny
Thanks for the visit and showing me some love with the purchase. I am jamming here to your music, especially "MAKE UP YOUR MIND" with the energy and screaming vocals at the end. You are talented with both your vocals and guitar, my brother. WOW!

Hee hee, what, Supergroup? LOL!! What are you talking about? LOLOLOLOLOL!!
I had a lot of fun working with David and Tony on that one, thank you for your very kind comments. Figured you'd ding me good on several points that I'd not been able to fix...I was expecting it, cuz you listen to the mix as deeply as I do.
Well, I tell you; I'd done the lead vocals first..and it had brought something out that I hadn't ever really been able to do..and that was get really carried away and just SING my heart out. No cut after that even came close, so I stayed with the first one.
The along comes the rest of the parts..and I was very pleased with how it all came together..somebody in 3D has already asked how I'd gotten Paul McCartney to sing with and Jimi Hendrix(sp?) to play with me. LOL!!
I thought that was really funny, especially the Jimi Hendrix part, as I haven't really heard much of his guitar playing.
But, David is really good at his lead runs, and I felt it kicked up the track a few notches and then some.
Tony's additions did the same.
Thanks again for coming by, am spinning several as I type.
Got another one coming out pretty soon, that is nearly finished..only this time it's a collab with Mike Marshall...and something very different from the norm.
But I liked how the track came out, and..well, you'll hear it when you hear it.
Happy Mother's Day to Mrs Amy!
Love and hugs to you and your family, Johnny.
Blessings,
Tammy
