I recorded a Christmas album a few years back.
Every year at Christmas time I haul out the CD again, just in case I run into someone who hasn't already heard it. Those folks are getting harder to find.
Why this name?
It had a "familiar ring" to it.
Do you play live?
I used to play for some of the office Christmas parties where I worked. I never had any Christmas songs to perform back then. Now I have the songs, but don't work there anymore. Maybe I'll get things back in sync again some day. For now I do multi-track recording in My Living Room, "MLR Studios". (Less pressure.)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I've always believed in the concept, "There's quantity in numbers."
I guess the current situation on the internet could only help to reinforce that.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
They would have to supply the pen, and even then I might not use my real name.
For the time being I'm content to let my music be available via the internet.

Band History:
It took me 13 years to accumulate enough original songs to record my first album.
It only took me another 5 years till I recorded my second. I see that as a positive trend for the future.
Your influences?
I guess I tend to start out most of my songs with acoustic guitar and a vocal track,
so I guess that's why I think of myself as a "folk musician". Then the "engineering side" of me kicks in. I enjoy the production part as much as the performing part.
MLR Studio's motto: "Compensating for Talent With Technology".
I do whatever is necessary, but it still tends to end up at the "easy listening" end of the musical spectrum.
Favorite spot?
I'm kind of partial to the shores of Lake Superior.
Equipment used:
I once used the cover from my Weber barbeque grill as a drum.
It's hard to "beat" a setup like that.
Anything else...?
Merry Christmas !
