Why this name?
Otoko was chosen after thumbing through a Japanese text book (Had no insperation for a name y'see). At the time we believed Otoko meant gentlemen although it was pointed out later that it simply meant 'Man'. Still the name looked 'cool' so we kept it.
Previous names included... Moneymusic, Lost October, SYM (Swindon Young Musicians), Shadowfax and Rearviews.
Band History:
Begin as a four piece in Spring 2003 (Tom Towers, David Pasby, Daniel Pratt and James Maynard).
Chris Maynard joins the band as a guitarist a month later.
Play small fixtures in Pubs and clubs in Swindon.
Summer 2004 David Pasby leaves the band who remain a four piece.
Anything else...?
