Emotional Circus is/was Harlan Mark Vale and Rotcod Zzaj. Mark composed all the tunes and played keyboards & percussion. Zzaj sang and played Kurzweill PC 88 synthesizer
Why this name?
It was an election year... very emotional times (for all concerned), & seemed to fit!
Do you play live?
Vale & Zzaj have played several times together at the "Olympia Experimental Music Festival", KAOS radio, Sonarchy radio & various other venues.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
For the better, to be sure. No way for the "big guys" to steal from the little ones; ultimately, it is hoped that the "mass" of listeners out there will wake up & determine how much pap they've been fed through widespread proliferation of these mediums.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Doubtful, as they (generally) want too much control of the artists muse.

Lots of Zappa, fair amount of Sun Ra & lots of jazz artists!

This group/CD is one of the ONLY places you can hear Zzaj SING! Be SURE to listen to "Loop Thing"!
