Sgt. Jay Curtman has been singing Southern Gospel Music for as long as he can remember. As a young child he learned that he had an ear for picking out old hymns and standards on the piano and soon afterward he developed an interest in the guitar. Sgt. Jay is not only a singer / songwriter but also a former youth director.

Do you play live?

I use tracks that I create at Curtman Music Studio. Some songs I play live.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It allows the independent artist to promote and market himself.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Sure!

Band History:

Born in St. Louis, MO in 1970. The son of a Baptist preacher! Active Youth and Music Leader!

Your influences?

His major influences are Jake Hess, Gary McSpadden, The Cathedrals, The Happy Goodmans and many others.

Favorite spot?

Too many to tell! I like Branson, MO and St. Louis, MO!

Equipment used:

A Midi keyboard and a guitar. A Roland digital recorder! The rest is a secret! :)
