At open mics any place I can find them.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Doubtfull that spoken word will reach the level of 'major labels', but the fear of large corporations is that they want to change your lyrics and image and thats not something I'm willing to compromise. But I do have a demo cd to give out if anyone of influence reaches this page.
Your influences?
Mars Ill, Listener, Brother Ali, Aesop Rock.. many local artists - Ken, Stacey, Novacain (rip), Twain, Silence, Daxx, Man called Moses, and the list could go on and on.
Anything else...?
Spoken Word is still a hobby of influence for me. I have ideas of it becoming more, or being used as a tool for something more, but if you like what you hear -- share it with others. Not for my prides sake, but rather for the messages themselves.
