Tommy John Ehman and David Evans make up this dynamic duo, Idle Rains. Their experience and travels span more that a decade and have spawned two acclaimed CDs; WASTED NIGHTS released in 1996 and TO THE WALL in 2002. Their roots/acoustic rock style is easy to listen to and enjoyed by all ages. With music in hand Idle Rains is poised to take on the music world!(www.idlerains.com)
Why this name?
We had about 50 names to choose from. We narrowed it down to 2 or3, then we voted and Idle Rains won.
Do you play live?
We do play live mostly in Saskatchewan which is a Province in western Canada and we love it!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is a great avenue for independant bands to get their music to their fans, but at the same time is has allowed for others to take what they have not purchased! As a musician, this upsets me!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely!!

We have been compared to band like Blue Rodeo, Steve Earle, Tom Petty and John Mellencamp. We are sort of rock with roots!
Favorite spot?
I Love to spend time in the country. Nice and quiet. Great for songwriting.

Drums and guitars all the way with a little keyboards and other things thrown in as well.
