Free Form is an emotional, experimental solo project created in 2004 by Inner Surge's Steve Moore. Free Form is an artist from Calgary, Alberta. The influences range from acoustic to trip hop and electronic influences. Free Form has released it's 1st album entitled "Forbidden Thoughts of Freedom" in 2004. This project brings powerfully dark and innovative music to an already talented Alberta Music Scene.
Free Form is proud to be a Platform 12 artist alongside excellent acts such as My arm is an Ocean, Inner Surge, Johnny Incognito and Huckster Rayzor.

Why this name?
This project was meant to be very spontaneous musically, without holding back, so Free Form seemed like the most meaningfull name.
Do you play live?
Just began the project, but will be playing live in Western Canada alongside great acts like Huckster Rayzor and My arm is an Ocean. Calgary's live music scene welcomes folk artists & punk artists, but as this project is quite different, I have to be selective with the venues. Weeds has been great with our events, and with the shows Platform 12 promotions puts on.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I'm for mp3's and such....It's wonderfull that people can connect with you at the click of a button. I enjoy downloading music, but if I really respect an artist, I will buy their CD.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would consider it, definately.
Band History:
I began Inner Surge in 2001, and am very focused on that. Free Form is a different sort of project that will go into different territory, so to speak. It will be stranger, softer and more intense sometimes. I would like to work on as many projects as possible, as I have a lot to say musically.
